Exciting times here at The Dovecote, we are having a refurbishment!This affects reservations made between 17th Feb and 7th March, Opening hours will remain the same, however we will be moving the restaurant into our Granary Loft function suite while we carry out the works. Dogs are welcome in our outdoor space and bar area. No dogs will be allowed in the restaurant-style extension. Parking Please note we have a car park on-site however it can get very busy and is limited. Please respect the neighbours when parking on-street by not blocking their driveways. Please do not park opposite other cars therefore making the road too narrow to pass. Come and join us at this beautiful old pub very soon. Please note we are closed on Sunday evenings and all day on Mondays.

    We were given a voucher for Xmas so this was our first visit but it won’t be our last. We had an excellent experience. Restaurant is not large but is light with a lovely view. Very well appointed. Service was first class and the food was extremely good. No issues with any dish. The quality of the rump steak was top notch and tasted great. My wife had the blue cheese and pea risotto which she enjoyed so much. Desserts were homemade including the ice creams and the sorbets. The Bluebell is a brilliant place to eat, the prices are very fair for the quality and quantities were just right. 5*.

    We have just returned from Morley Hayes after having the most fabulous champagne breakfast. Absolutely delicious food, with perfect service in the most beautiful dining room. We so enjoyed our morning in the Dovecote Restaurant. Thank you to all concerned

    This was an excellent dining experience in a beautifully set resturant, the amazing wood fired pizza oven really produced some delicious original flavored pizzas , the staff were friendly and attentive and the food was very reasonably priced, all in all a great dining experience, well done !

    We last ate here in 2023, having enjoyed many happy times at Darleys over the last 30 years: Birthdays & Anniversaries etc. We are pleased to say Darleys is back on form! Lunch was both excellent value, beautifully presented (and served) and the food was delicious. A transformation from our last visit... We shall be back very soon & again be able to champion the best dining experience Derby has to offer...with pride & truthfulness: tremendous. With thanks!

    It's our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The beef was cooked to perfection, delicious cauliflower cheese. Lovely friendly staff that served us immediately. We won't go anywhere else now of Sunday carvery.
