Lunch for two booked and we were directed our table - a nice choice of table. . After being seated for only a few seconds there was a table for four, to our left who were extremely noisy (one lady in particular with a very loud, continuous, raucous laugh) so before our order was taken I enquired whether we could move table, and we moved to a quieter area and we had a wonderful experience, as always, with excellent friendly service. All dealt with quietly and calmly and hopefully the table for four continued to enjoy their time at Cote.

A warm friendly welcome. We had a great table in the window. We chose from the lunch menu and started with mussels in a wine sauce, absolutely delicious and then homemade fish cake with pea purée, again delicious and well presented. I don’t usually have a pudding but I’m glad I did! Chocolate mousse and passion fruit sorbet, they complimented each other. We were offered canapés which were yummy and had homemade bread with the meal. Good wine selection and fabulous service. What a treat in Norwich and a pretty part of the city. Will definitely be back very soon
