Chapter One is an award-winning Modern European restaurant with 3 AA Rosettes in Orpington, Kent. Following a major refurbishment in early 2019, Chapter One has relaunched with a more modern approach, tempting guests with greater variety and quality.Under the direction of acclaimed chef Andrew McLeish, modern European cooking is available in two formats. In the Restaurant, sophisticated seasonal dishes are served in a refined setting with a weekly changing 3-course Lunch Menu du Jour, a seasonally-inspired 7-course Tasting Menu and an a la carte option. In the more informal Brasserie, a selection of favourites are cooked to perfection with the finest ingredients.     we love coming to the ivy blackheath! always such a lovely warm welcome from the receptionist and staff are friendly and helpful. delicious brunch today with the eggs benedict and the christmas desserts are amazing!

    Not been for a while, and booked the brasserie. The staff from the moment I walked in, I could not fault - they were friendly and efficient. Starters, there was a good choice, well presented & tasty. Mains - ribeye, was well cooked. My wife had the sea bass, which was ok, but a little underwhelming. Desserts - sticky toffee pudding lived up to its name ! Again the lady waitress was excellent, friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable. I will definitely go back.

    Warm welcome, delicious food served in a beautiful setting. Good range of choices for all dietary requirements. No rush to leave the table so plenty of time to chat. Cheeky little complementary limoncello served with the bill too! Would highly recommend a visit.

    WOW. Myself and My Mam has a fantastic evening. Staff were attentive, the drinks amazing, the decor is beautiful and the FOOD PHENOMENAL. I will be back and had one of the best evenings of the year. The Owners really take pride in the restaurant and its shows and makes you feel so welcomed.
