Accessed from the High Street and through a glass lobby, Quod restaurant with its terrace and bar, forms the hub of the Old Bank Hotel. Formerly a banking hall it was transformed by owner Jeremy Mogford to become Oxford's largest and most successful restaurant. "The Cygnet at The Swan" is an award winning restaurant led by Paul Welburn (previously awarded Michelin star at The Oxford Kitchen 2018). We are open from Wednesday to Saturday, bookings are encouraged but not necessary. The Fishes is a hidden gem. Quite a big gem, too. An imposing Victorian building set in acres of wooded grounds leading down to the banks of Seacourt Stream. The deck that wraps around the conservatory offers a rare opportunity in land-locked Oxford to dine outside with an idyllic view. In recognition of this, the Fishes was named Al Fresco Dining Pub of the Year in 2006, as well winner of The Public Vote in Oxfordshire Restaurant awards 2012 making it one of the best restaurants in Oxford.

    Excellent experience as ever at this lovely restaurant. Busy and lively atmosphere as we were greeted on arrival and offered good choice of tables. Prompt, friendly and helpful service throughout. My grilled octopus starter was exceptionally good and our main fish dishes - monkfish and the daily halibut special - were both delicious. Not cheap but good value. Definitely worth a visit.

    Absolutely loved it, wonderful food so flavoursome with prompt and attentive service. I had the mushroom croqutes and belly of pork totally recommend it my wife loved her meal too. We shared the creme brule for desert. We also had a great table overlooking the river, cant fault this place at all. We cant wait to book again.
