Best Casual Restaurants in East Finchley/Finchley/North Finchley

Such a lovely evening! The food was just incredible, particularly the venison tartare, pork loin and beef cheek. Just amazing. Such lovely staff who were always ready to help and even treated us to a complimentary pudding for our special occasion! The Guinness was also a major highlight. Huge fun sitting near the bar upstairs and watching the cooks create everything. Can’t wait to come back again, thank you for looking after us so brilliantly!

Great service! A bit pricy but very enjoyable. I The cafe -like experience of sitting upstairs was great too. I chose an unusual pairing of delicious mackerel with crème frais followed by roast pork

Great food, great service. I’ve been in plimsoll before because their burger. I couldn’t come back with some friends to let them try it too. We got 5 burgers but at the end we ordered 3 more with extra cheese and at the end they were even better. My friend was looking for bacon but for me the crunchiness of meat was enough. Very good balance of flavours. I tried many burgers but probably this is the best in London. I was a bit sad realising they removed the green salad with walnuts from the menu cuz it was really good but I understand can be because the seasonal changes etc. Another must to try are the potatoes with aioli. We also got other dishes but I would say these 2 were the best. The pub was full but the service was fast. The kitchen is not big but they are very organised. Same with table service, we had some requests and the blonde girl who served us was really nice and patient haha I forgot to asked her name for the mention Overall a great experience! Thank you guys!

This is my second visit here in three days. First, my daughter and I had a lovely 3 course Sunday dinner and then I followed up with a 2 course lunch today. The server from dinner recognized and greeted me warmly when I walked in the door today. She also happens to manage the wine list and is extremely knowledgeable on the subject, so makes great food and wine pairing suggestions. The food is beautifully made with fresh seasonal ingredients, the staff provides excellent service and the ambience is comfortable and homey. Clipstone is a very enjoyable experience all around, and I highly recommend it.

Always great service and I am now a fan of the Riding House Draught beer
