In 2016 the Old School BBQ was born, using a freshly imported 1982 Bluebird International American school bus from Arizona as a mobile kitchen.The bus was converted from a traditional seated bus to a fully functional kitchen, with smokers and griddles to cook low and slow BBQ food. The OSB journey had begun, trading from humble beginnings on a local pub car park in Failsworth. Our little yellow bus soon became a familiar landmark and we became more and more popular with lunch goers who wanted freshly prepared, appetising food served with a smile. Soon demand meant that we would be more often than not greeting our customers with a "sold out" sign, so it was time to expand.So here we are, with a covered seated area serving our firm favourites, complemented with a fully licenced bar and WC facilities... did we mention the stage? That's right, we also provide live music from various acts from near and far - we are sure you will find our eatery to be like no other!

Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. My second time and as good as the first. Sadly the slow cooked venison shoulder was not on the menu but the sea bass proved an admirable alternative. Excellent dishes, not overly fancy, but ingredients well matched and flavoursome. The top to tail philosophy is clever and appropriate. Highly recommended.

Food was great, only downside was being told from 5.55pm (we booked in at 5pm) was that we needed to be out by 6.15pm and felt like we had to rush our cocktails that we’d ordered at the end. Other than that, really good though. Maybe just worth extending table booking to 90 mins!

Another great night. Staff very good. Food is what we enjoy. Only complaint was it needed to be hotter. We got the sharing platter. But it was still warm enough to eat to start with. The entertainment is always great. Welsh couple singing. Brilliant. Would love to see them again. The vibe is very good. The lighting is great. Will definitely be back As always we often recommend it to our customer’s and friends to head over to eat there. They won’t be disappointed

The food was amazing. Best steak and ale pie my husband has ever had. The french onion soup was so flavourful. The staff were so lovely and friendly. Would highly recommend a visit.
