Best Waterfront Restaurants in Outer Sunset

Love the atmosphere and the festive decorations! The food is tremendous and service is excellent. My husband had the branzino, which was deliciously smoky with a nice crispy skin, and my black cod was well seasoned and cooked to silky perfection. The warm apple crisp was outstanding, we’d go back just for dessert!

This was an amazing experience for our anniversary! Each dish was prepared to thoughtful perfection. The prawns were a revelation. We were so happy to have received this recommendation from our local friends as it made for a memorable anniversary while we were out of town.

Spectacular! We wanted a nice place with a view to celebrate with family our son's Navy discharge. We were just coming from the Alcatraz tour, and were pleasantly surprised to find the Waterfront not packed, but welcoming and charming! View was great, staff were attentive, and food & drinks were perfect! At the end of the evening, the waiter MADE SURE to point out an 18% gratuity was already added in (small print) which I found refreshing for servers, so I upped that! We will be back!

La Mar continues to set the gold standard for exceptional dining. The location is vibrant, the service impeccable, and the food nothing short of extraordinary. For our party of five, we indulged in an incredible array of dishes: - Pulpo Anticuchero - Anticuchos - Ceviche Tasting - Planchada a la Mar - Grilled Salmon - Chicharrón de Calamar - La Mar Pulpo - Tomahawk 40oz All paired perfectly with the refreshing Kola and Chicha Morada. This wasn’t the first visit for some of us, but once again, La Mar exceeded expectations. The speed and quality of service were remarkable, making the experience seamless and enjoyable. What truly sets La Mar apart is its ability to combine bold, authentic flavors with a modern touch, creating a dining experience that’s both comforting and memorable. From the tender, flavorful seafood to the perfectly grilled Tomahawk steak, every dish was a masterpiece. La Mar is more than just a meal—it’s an experience that leaves you planning your next visit before you’ve even finished.
