Best Restaurants for Foodies in Clear Fork Trinity River South Bank

My hubby and I went for our anniversary (Valentine’s Day). Everything was wonderful from beginning to end. The ambiance was elegant and calm but also upbeat. The entire staff was engaging and friendly! Service is prompt. Our waiter checked in frequently, explained the menu and gave excellent recommendations. The managers on duty also frequently checked in and ensured we were pleased. One even served us our drinks and gave us chocolate covered strawberries as a parting treat! The food was *chef’s kiss*!! Soooo delicious! We had Chef Tommy’s bacon as an appetizer, the salmon for our entrees along with the brussel sprouts, mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. The portions were more than enough and a very nice server boxed up all of our leftovers. We had such a nice time and definitely will be back for the next special occasion!

The cuisine is a delicious blend of Southern Comfort with a Southern Louisiana flare. If you haven't had the lobster & crawfish pot pie and are a fan of seafood then this will certainly not disappoint! The bar always does a fine job crafting our beverages and the service has always been warm and friendly. Do yourself a favor and grab the biscuit and pimiento cheese appetizers. While the bread that comes with the cheese may be delicious, do yourself a favor and try it on the biscuit with a tad bit of that honey for a delicious sweet & savory treat! Another plus is that this is adjacent to the base of the free parking garage elevator (on the AMC & Pinstripes side) so parking is typically not a deal breaker with making it to your reservation on time. The atmosphere is more of a business casual to special occasion type dress. If you're in your jeans and boots with a nice shirt on you're typically right on point with the rest of the crowd. Give Fixe a shot. I'm certain you won't be disappointed!

We decided to eat out the night before Valentine’s and that was a great decision. Service was speedy, food was delicious as always. Faves are blue kani, crunchy blue and tuna tower. Great evening!

Hostess, wait staff, manager were all very cordial and personable. Each one wanted to make sure you had a great dining experience. We arrived early for our reservation and they seated us upon arrival. By the time we left the restaurant was packed. Would definitely dine there again! We ordered the wedge salad, 8oz filet, snapper, and potatoes 3 ways. We also ordered the churros for dessert. A wee bit too much sugar in the churros for me but overall delicious!

The service was exceptional. Jordan is the master of martinis and customer experience. He made us feel like we were the only ones in the restaurant. The food was fresh, excellent quality (very little to no fat on the meat), and big servings. This is not a place you want to be rushed or in a hurry. We had tickets to a show and rather than rush us Jordan offered us the option of coming back after the show to enjoy dessert. It was going above and beyond and we appreciated his hospitality. We will be back many times for sure. *caution the seasoning was a little too much salt on a few items and the fresh vegetables were a little too thin for the cooking. I personally didn’t like the celery or carrot option for the cheese fondue and would go with more apples. Price was a little steep at $64 per person (without drinks) but well worth the experience.
