Lovely table. Fish soup and kidneys very nice - fish soup could have been a little thinner and kidneys a little more tender. Main course Sole and lamb both very nice. Lamb dish served a bit cold but quickly resolved with a salamander heat up. An unexpected glass of wine given with No1’s apologies. Appreciated. Fabulous crème brûlée! Lovely ambience and service. As always a very pleasant experience, I liked the choices on the fixed menu, I would have loved my favourite oysters but at £4.10 each I decided against! Staff friendly and helpful as usual.

The nicest food fresh and hot and food arrived together. It was clean the staff was the nicest staff you could meet and so helpful polite and all round perfect, I thought it was good value and I will be going time and time again

Excellent experience as ever at this lovely restaurant. Busy and lively atmosphere as we were greeted on arrival and offered good choice of tables. Prompt, friendly and helpful service throughout. My grilled octopus starter was exceptionally good and our main fish dishes - monkfish and the daily halibut special - were both delicious. Not cheap but good value. Definitely worth a visit.
