Best Romantic Restaurants in Slingerlands

Lovely birthday lunch for a close friend! Our food was excellent and arrived promptly, but we weren’t rushed. Will definitely dine at Josie’s over the holidays!

Our dinner was delicious-- after a small plate of tostadas, we shared surf and turf and added a side of roasted broccolini. Dessert was the always incredible and surprising pistachio crusted goat cheese cheesecake (it's creamy and crunchy and a bit salty, with a bit of honeycomb for contrast). Javi is a truly awe inspiring chef, and the crew is wonderful.

We have been here before...The food is quite good and this time we had a terrific server..The gents' name is Leander and was simply a pleasure to deal with...Will ask for him again...That is for certain... One other point..They have had an issue with repairing their Cappucino machine for YEARS...It is so ridiculous that we laughed when we found out that the issue lives...For this chain to just buy a new machine is truly a disgrace. Also I am certain they lose a lot of after dinner business in regard to desserts and coffee and it leaves a bad feeling to end the dinner...

My best friend and I had an awesome experience. Im not sure we’ve been back to Athos since the new management but everything was the same if not better. I had the grilled octopus which was a huge tentacle of deliciousness and the salmon scallopini and ended with the loukomathes traditional. We started with two cocktails with our appetizers and went with a bottle of the Dark Matter. My friend had the fried calamari and moussaka ending with the chocolate mouse. And two double espressos. It’s been a rough year so it felt nice to go out like we used to and have a yuppie meal. The meal was exceptional and the service was the same thanks to our server Hannah as well as the other staff. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and it was just what we needed to pull us out of our slump. I felt like I was back in Greece for two hours!

Wonderful experience! A must experience! Traditional dishes prepared in a nouvelle cuisine style. The complimentary bread and tapenade were delicious starters. The fried artichoke hearts which are typically a holiday family favorite had an interesting Sriracha drizzle twist. The Tuscan soup was not a typical thick bean and sausage soup. It was more of a pink broth type soup with a few beans, few greens, small but delicious piece of sausage and a crouton type toast, again delicious. The ricotta gnocchi were amazing but I think I would have preferred it in a red sauce. The ricotta cake was the best I’ve ever had! A wonderful crust with a warm soft center and with a cherries. Will definitely be back!
