However, it is difficult not to compare a HH at Októ to a HH at Doris. I am partial to the steak skewers at Doris. I booked a table outdoors as I had read about the noise level indoors. Alas at 7p the music was turned up to painful decibels and we were on the patio. It was ridiculously loud and left the evening on a down note.More infoOktóPrice: Very Expensive• Mediterranean• Montrose•4.5

We had the pleasure of meeting Brian and he is by the far the best server I have ever had in a restaurant. I don’t return to most restaurants after eating there once. However I will always go back to ZantiMore infoZanti Cucina Italiana - River OaksPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• River Oaks•4.7

The service was excellent and was made even more special by Edgar. We’re happy we chose to celebrate our 7th anniversary here. The establishment is truly deserving of its michelin star.More infoBCN Taste & TraditionPrice: Very Expensive• Spanish• Southeast Houston•4.9

Compared to two months ago, the food and presentation was equally outstanding, but the service was slower, not as fluid, and the ambience was greatly diminished due to the very high noise level. For example, in the lounge, we were served still and sparkling water, finished drinking that before our cocktail of vermouth was served, and finished drinking that before the amuse bouche was served. In the dining room, the noise level was so loud that it was difficult to hear our waiters and waitresses describe the food and the wines, even though they were standing right at our table, and it was impossible for my parents, even with hearing aids, to hear what our servers were telling us. The ambiance of the restaurant was stunning—warm, inviting, and sophisticated with beautiful lighting and decor that set the tone for a special meal. The food was simply outstanding. We enjoyed a variety of dishes, and each one exceeded our expectations. The Lamb Rack was perfectly cooked, tender, and flavorful. The Chicken Barg was juicy and seasoned beautifully, while the Koobideh was richly spiced and paired wonderfully with the aromatic rice dishes. The Zereshk Rice added a unique tart and sweet twist that complemented the proteins. We also tried their appetizers, including the Mast Khiyar and Lamb Hummus, which were fresh, creamy, and packed with flavor. To end the meal, the White Chocolate Cardamom Cake and 8-Day Budino were heavenly desserts—light, sweet, and the perfect way to finish. Rumi’s Kitchen truly delivers a fantastic combination of food, service, and atmosphere. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just looking for exceptional Persian cuisine, this place is a must-visit. Thank you, Rumi’s Kitchen, for making our lunch unforgettable. We can’t wait to come back!More infoRumi's Kitchen - HoustonPrice: Expensive• Persian• Galleria / Uptown•4.8
