- RRyanSan Francisco Bay Area •2 reviews4.0Dined 2 days agoWe were able to get reservations for Valentine’s Day the night before. The reviews didn’t look bad, so we gave it a shot. Overall, it was a decent dinner. The ambiance isn’t “fancy” but it’s not bad. I do have a couple critiques: Being the second couple seated and the place was empty I figured we would have very attentive service, which was not really the case. The young man serving us must’ve been relatively new, just inexperienced. He took forever to come take our food order and didn’t make eye contact with us, even though we were pretty much his ONLY table. We were given a semi-fixed valentines 3 course dinner for $75. We found out later we COULD have ordered from the regular menu, which they were offering people seated after us. The food was tasty, but for $75 I would have expected a little nicer presentation and better side dishes (pretty plain asparagus and potatoes) with my Filet Mignon — which, by the way, I don’t think was a filet mignon. They have a distinct shape and cut, and this steak was much thinner than a typical filet. Thst said, it was tasty. My wife’s dessert choice was wrong, but they comped her wine - and the desserts were pretty good.More infoCafe VillaPrice: Moderate• Italian• San Rafael•4.4

Prices may seem a little steep, but portions are very large and everything looks like it came fresh from the farmers market that day!More infoMarché RestaurantPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Ross•4.6
- SStephenLondon •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoMy wife and I had an overall terrific experience at Paseo, dining at 7PM on a Wednesday night in February 2025 in the main dining room. The room was about half full, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was pleasant chatter and soft background music, but, refreshingly, it was easy to carry on a conversation Our server, Maya, was cheerful, knowledgeable about the menu, and very efficient. She helped us select their house made Parker rolls, the night’s special crab cake (to share as a starter), the duck breast, and the pork chop. All were delicious, and the portions were generous. Quite by accident we were there on a “Wine Wednesday” which features many bottles at $36 and others hugely discounted. We chose a Pays d’OC Comtesse Marion Pinot Noir which went very well with our entrees. We were too fully for dessert, but the choices looked attractive. Maya took very good care of us which added to our appreciation of the meal. Highly recommended!More infoPaseo: A California BistroPrice: Expensive• Californian• Mill Valley•4
