Best Gastro Pubs in Northeast Dallas

We’ve been to this thirsty lion multiple times and I feel it’s better than some of the other ones we visited in the DFW area. The only downside is it’s pretty loud, even when I’ve gone on a weekday, but we just expect it now. The service is great, and the food is amazing. Tasty and very fresh and always hot. I definitely recommend making a reservation because instead of having to wait an hour, our table was ready when we arrived at 7 o’clock on a Saturday night. 

The veal cheeks and the duck confit were awesome. We were there on Thursday and it was half price on some of the wines. Our waitress was very nice and we had a great dinner.

The food and service was great. The only suggestion I have is to lower the volume on the music in the main dining room. It was difficult to hear ourselves, at times.

We celebrated Veterans Day for the second year in a row. The food was delicious and the service was great. Thanks for honoring us on Veterans Day. There were six of us and three are Vietnam veterans. Again thanks 😊 .

Multifaceted menu that has something for everyone. That is a hard task, but Thirsty Lion offers interesting appetizers, a wide array of salads and good signature dishes from burgers to high end chef selections. Our group of four came away happy and our "must revisit" list.
