Best Brunch Restaurants in Captiva Island

We had a fun and delicious dinner last night! As my grandson always says — “It’s not a trip to Napkes without going to Tommy Bahamas! It was very crowded on 5th Avenue as it was the arrival of Santa - but we were very comfortable at our table. We weren’t able to have our usual server, but the waitstaff was great. And, as usual, the food — and the desserts—- were delicious and beautifully presented.

We had a great dinner at The Green Flash! It was my fiancée birthday. They comped a dessert when I told them. She had Veal Zurich and really enjoyed it. I had stuffed shrimp. Six shrimp with crab and breadcrumbs stuffing. If you’ve had this before you know it’s a small mound of stuffing on a butterflied shrimp, but very tasty! The dessert we chose was a chocolate mousse. Wonderful! Whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and mousse!

Steaks were excellent! Try the Brussels sprouts. Very tasty! Home made ice cream is a treat for dessert as well!

One of the BEST restaurants in the 5th avenue area ! PROS - Friendly, expert, accommodating service, flavorful, creative meals (get the fresh catch if available!) with reasonable portions, creative, delicious cocktails, amazing desserts CONS - (had to really think about this).... perhaps not close to parking (use a Valet or take your chances on the street), potato (au gratin) dish served not quite warm enough The restaurant has somewhat tight tables, so if there is a LOUD person one table over, you will hear them. Also, the prices are high, but not unexpectantly outrageous for the dining experience.. Worth the visit for a special occasion !

Bevy creates a great Florida atmosphere ony heightened by the food and service. Try the grilled octopus and seared tuna. Wonderful.
