The Hunter S is a good quality pub that serves delicious no-nonsense grub. You can see every dish being made to order in our open plan kitchen- no soggy microwaved frozen meals here! We take great care in sourcing our produce direct from the best suppliers both locally and abroad. Our menu is a mix of classic crowd pleasers and regularly changing seasonal dishes, which means you'll always find something to tempt your taste buds (even if you're in every day!).We are a pub, not a cocktail bar and while we make a blinding Bloody Mary, and will happily mix you an Aperol Spritz or Negroni, we don't do Pina Coladas. That said, we are extremely proud of our wide range of spirits from around the globe, which (where possible) we offer at affordable prices. The wine list has been chosen to provide a simple but high quality selection that goes as well with our food as it does with some good company.

excellent food and delightful service as always. a great combination of laid back atmosphere with tasty cooking. exactly what north London requires. waiting staff are very friendly and engaged. one mild criticism is the arrival/seating process which is rather disorganised - we were eventually seated 15 mins after our reservation time but even that needed a couple of gentle reminders

Food was fantastic. Atmosphere was great. Wine list is exceptional for a pub. Service was hospitable but lacked a bit of attention (fork never came for one guest, sat with dessert menus for 30+ minutes, etc). In any case, will be back and already looking forward to it.

Naughty food, served in a size that doesn’t make you feel guilty. WINNING. Do not miss the potato dumplings with beef shin, crispy mutton belly, and the leeks… oh Lordy… let me lick that plate! And defo have the cheese AND both sweet desserts. You will get FOMO otherwise. As it’s a ‘come as it’s ready’ type affair, you’ll want to share all the dishes or get 2, so you don’t feel like you’re missing out or waiting. Floor manager is an angel, as are the other waiting staff, and Chef was sooo lovely too. Defo going back!!!
