Best Restaurants for a Quick Bite in Galleria / Uptown

Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Hand rolls are top notch along with the staff. Make reservations...this place was hoppin' by 7:00, and it's all bar-seating. We will definitely be back!

Took our friends to dinner to celebrate their recent wedding and our wedding anniversary. Had the chef’s tasting with wine pairings. Everything was exceptional. The food was excellent and the wine pairings were perfect. The service was fantastic as well. Overall, a wonderful experience. We will definitely return. Unlike some of the Michelin starred restaurants we have visited in Europe, this is a more relaxed experience which we appreciated.

Excellent restaurant. 5/5 in all areas. Had the Miso Salmon and it was some of the best tasting Salmon I’ve had in a long time. My guest enjoyed their meal as well. Staff is very friendly and everything was served in a timely manner. Best dining experience I’ve had in Houston so far.

I went to lunch at Stray Horse because the JW Marriott was the venue I was attending a seminar. I arrived earlier then other attendees and the restaurant got full very quickly. I was able to get my order in before the restaurant filled up. There were four people total assisting the crowd. I have never seen anyone move as quickly and assisting everyone with their needs. Even though they were busy they made sure I was taken care of. The chef salad was exceptional. I went to eat there the next day for lunch...need I say more.
