The food was delicious with large portions. We had the mud pie for dessert! Delicious. Plus the beautiful water view. Great experience!More infoC-LevelPrice: Moderate• Cocktail Bar• Downtown•4.7

- HHarrySan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoAttentive service w/o being too much. Fun and modern ambiance w/ some touches of warmth - like the fireplace :). Unique menu items and flavors that work together is #1 reason we go. San Diego has some good restaurants but... most restaurants serve the same food as each other - just w/ their twist. I say "So what"? That's boring and I can make most of that food at home for much less and at least equally as good. Herb & Wood has a menu that stands out and the flavors work so well together no matter what we order. Not inexpensive by any means but not taking-advantage-of-you pricing either. High quality, well prepared, and thoughtful menu items with a true connection to "flavor town"! Eggplant, Branzino, Apple/Fig Salad, Hamachi, Date Cake... all winners. It's a special occasion restaurant mostly but I see it as a regular go-to when I crave food that stands out!More infoHerb & WoodPrice: Expensive• Californian• Little Italy•4.7
- CConnieSan Diego •5 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoThe team there as always provided outstanding service. Very welcoming, attentive and so fun. Unfortunately the food was a little underwhelming (my chicken was dry and my friends’ side dish was cold). However, the holiday decorations were so fun and festive. Had a great evening celebrating my friend’s birthday!More infoinsideOUTPrice: Expensive• Californian• Hillcrest•4.8
