Youth are released from detention into the sheltered environment of Café Momentum’s post-release program. Café Momentum’s program teaches critical skills that allow youth to re-enter society in a safe, real-world environment of nurturing accountability. By participating in our program, at-risk young people rotate through every aspect of the restaurant from waiting tables to washing dishes, while working side-by-side with established chefs. My daughter and I ate at Sasseta for the first time last Thursday evening. Our waiter was great- gave us recommendations and the specials with his honest opinion. The ambiance was very nice. Upscale casual is what I would say. Though there were others nearby, & we could hear them, it wasn’t too noisy and she and I had no trouble hearing each other. We started with the Burrata and it was delicious! She had the Rigatoni and I had the Chopped Salad with chicken substituting for the red wine vinegar. All was delicious and prepared in a timely manner. We both highly recommend Sasseta if you are in Dallas.
