Chef Tomas Bermudez keeps a keen eye on all that enters the kitchen, sourcing the highest quality seafood mostly from the Pacific Coast of Mexico, supporting local small scale producers.Great wine list with many natural options in it.The seasonal cocktail list is worth a try.San Pellegrino´s Latin America´s 50 Best Restaurants Award for its quality and ambience.When reserving it is not possible to guarantee a specific table or location in the restaurant, although we always try to do our best. We have 10 minutes tolerance for reservation times, after that it is a no show. We only assign tables to complete parties, in case not everybody is present we assign a smaller table. we charge $250 pesos per person on no shows or incomplete groups.

Hiyoko is a space with 16 seats and it is the first yakitori style restaurant in Mexico. Most of its menu is concentrated in chicken cooked on Japanese charcoal called binchotan under the sumiyaki technique marinated in salsa madre. In its menu we can also find rice and vegetables.

Gerardo our waiter was amazing, we had the sopa tarasca which was spectacular, then the mole and a sear tuna with artichoke and epazote sauce, for dessert the rompope icecream was flavourful! An amazing little gem where you least expected.

We had no idea what to order but made wonderful decisions. We chose to share each selected dish and enjoyed the tastings of the small scale sized portions. The chicken appetizer dish was not small! Six significant pieces were very filling. The sashimi was also a plentiful dish with three pieces in each of three varieties. This was elevated Japanese food and we are thrilled to have experienced it.
