Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Pennsylvania

Our waiter Chris was so awesome. He did great recommendations, and was an amazing waiter. The whole staff was so friendly and so helpful. They made our anniversary and Valentine’s Day special.

We had an absolutely "fabulous" Valentine's Day dinner at this top-notch restaurant. We introduced two friends of ours to this awesome restaurant and they were blown away in every possible respect. For the very first time we were seated in a different section of the restaurant. I was disappointed in that I thought that our favorite server Alaina was not going to be working this evening. I was looking to really impress our dinner guests and I thought that that was not possible anymore. And then a few minutes later, around the bend I see Alaina & she sees us. She was surprised to see us & didn't know that we were in this evening. When I saw her I told her that she just made our entire evening. We gave each other a big hug and the evening was absolutely "amazing" from that point onwards. She remembered our favorite cocktails, even our appetizers and entrées, I could not get over what a great memory she has. The lobster tacos, the Caesar salads, the shrimp stuffed with crab meat and the special swordfish stuffed with crab were absolutely out of this world. One of our dinner guests always orders salmon every single time we go out. But tonight of all nights he decided he was gonna try the fillet. We all held our breath as his fillet arrived and he tasted it and he thought it was prepared and tasted just perfectly. The restaurant was absolutely packed and one would imagine that the chefs would perhaps not be able to keep the quality of the food up but instead they knocked it out of the ballpark. We recommended the bananas foster for dessert and our dinner guests were blown away yet again. Thank you once again to Alaina for showcasing Eddie's absolutely amazing food and her top-notch service and awesome sense of humor to our first time dinner guests and making this a Valentine's Day to remember !!!

Our server Anna was soooo knowledgeable, sooo charming, and just an overall pleasure! All staff were pleasant. Ambiance was good. One huge open dining room, bar, kitchen. Nice casual atmosphere. Food was fan-freaking-tastic! Only disappointment was the calamari, which was just breaded and fried. Not seasoned well. BUT, the rest of it was phenomenal. Beef tartare was silky and buttery. Arancini was rich and cheesy. I had the short rib Marsala which is one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. Finished by a white chocolate apple butter cake that really was the icing on the cake! Beautiful job North. We will most certainly be back to see you!

Never a disappointment! Food and beverages exactly as stated on the menu -- properly prepared and presented. Mr. Ira Z, our server, was his usual friendly and efficient self! Same goes for his assistant, Mr. Miguel. The hostesses warmly greeted us, which is typical. Hat's off to the chefs, local management, corporate management, and especially Mr. Ira Z! I expect they'll keep up the excellent efforts!! This Capital Grille is our favorite high-end steak house -- for good reason. (The facility is clean and presentable; pleasant.)

This was the first time we visited Estia and we had a wonderful experience. We started with an array of apps including octopus and spanakopita-both of them were excellent and not to be missed. The spanakopita was one of best I’ve had outside of Greece-it tasted as though it were prepared by a grandmother and had a delicious buttery crust-not the usual phyllo which can often be badly prepared. The Estia chips were a bit underwhelming, and the lemon potatoes were undercooked with no sign of any citrus. Our entrees of halibut and swordfish kabob were both delicious, with the standout being the halibut -PERFECTLY cooked and wonderful with the olive tapenade. The swordfish was also excellent but ever so slightly overcooked. As first time diners and also because it was my birthday, we got an array of desserts on the house…and they were all PHENOMENAL….from the Greek yogurt cheese cake with honey, to the almond cookies and the baklava -it’s really hard to say which one was my fave-they were all outstanding in their own right. In terms of the wine, we selected a bottle and they didn’t have it…so, they offered us a comparable one with a higher price tag but lowered the price to match the cost of the bottle we ordered-that translates into fantastic customer service. Who does that?? A rare find these days…. Our server was personable, knowledgable and very attentive. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience at Estia and would return in the future
