Best Casual Restaurants in Glen Cove

Loved the food and the decor in this place. I know V day is amateur hour and sometimes can be overwhelming for staff but I feel like the staff was very green. They meant well and were always concerned but they made their frustrations and nervousness too obvious in the dining area. A couple of good wait staff could help that place kill it. The food is good enough to attract loyal clientele. Drinks were tasty but weak. Had to request stronger ones twice. Overall a good experience. I would go back but would love to see service improvements. Again, the staff meant well but they need some organization and direction.

The food is outstanding. Creative and flavorful. The wild boar was a special and fantastic. The smoked scallops on the regular menu is such an amazing dish, a must try. Also really loved the crispy baby artichokes-definitely get it with the prosciutto.

We went Valentine's Day, when owner Carlo put up a fixed price menu. There was a good choice of options in all three courses, however also a $15 up-charge for the braised beef short ribs, which is always a great dish, but I thought was somewhat pricey. I opted for the pork chop, which was pounded flat then fried, with a salad on top. Very tasty. For dessert we shared the always fabulous Napoleon,, and took the second dessert home to enjoy the following day, since we were very full. The service from David, Armando, Alex, and Carlo's son Brandon was flawless. The restaurant just celebrated their 45th year in business, and are now the longest open restaurant in Glen Cove. Highly recommended.

The igloo is a very cool experience. On top of that the food was very very good. 10/10 recommend if you are looking for a more intimate date night with exceptional service.

Came here for a birthday celebration. The hostess was very nice, we were seated within a minute of walking in. Our server was great, very attentive, and made great suggestions. The food and margaritas were exactly what we wanted. We will continue to come here- we have never been disappointed
