Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution.     Had a lovely dinner with my family that was in town for the week. Our food and service were both fantastic! We really enjoyed seeing the restaurant manager being so hands-on and attentive to guests. They had a DJ that was playing all guest requests, a fun atmosphere!

    We chose the Horseshoe to celebrate our grandson’s 7th birthday. While the food was acceptable, I remember it from year’s ago being much better. For example, the chicken pot pie was a bowl of shredded chicken and vegetables with a piece of crusty bread placed on top. Difficult to eat and not entirely appetizing. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive and the seating was comfortable. Horseshoe is worth a visit. We only suggest paying extra attention in selecting an entre’
