- CCarlvipGreater Boston •6 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoThis is a bit of a hidden gem in SD. Especially when other lesser restaurants are booked up. The food is really top-notch, and it's in such a beautiful place. The steak is a little nothing, but the fish and vegetables are what they really excel in.More infoSeréaPrice: Expensive• Mediterranean• Coronado•4.6
- DDavidSan Diego •2 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoMade a reservation for 11/23 at Osteria Cotto. We arrived and were promptly greeted by the host. Got a table right inside close to the kitchen. Right away the smell hit us. It smelled like an Italian kitchen should smell. Amazing! We knew we were in for a treat. The ambiance and music were on point. Our servers name was Salvatore. From the moment we arrived he was very attentive and we knew he was going to be awesome. We ordered Garlic Foccacia Bread with Marinara and Meatballs for appetizers. The garlic bread with the shaved parmesan was delicious. The meatballs , oh the meatballs were very tasty. You can tell they make them in house along with the sauce. For our Entrees we had Fettuccine Pasta Wheel with Chicken and Sausage, Chicken Parmigiano, and Alfredo Gnocchi Pasta with Shrimp. All 3 were superb! The portions are much bigger then we expected. So make sure to bring an appetite. For desert we tried the Lemoncillo cake. So so good!! Overall 5 stars all the way around. The food , the ambiance and the customer service provided by Salvatore were all excellent. We will be back again!!More infoOsteria Cotto e MangiatoPrice: Moderate• Italian• Banker's Hill•4.6
- BBenyaminSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoAbsolutely loved the experience, my girlfriend had told me about the restaurant. She loves the early 90s so the vibes of the restaurant was amazing for her, I loved the decor as well as the general ambiance. The vodka pasta was so good, I got the 40oz porterhouse. The outside was grilled perfectly as well as the medium on the inside. The drinks were so good from the Cabernet my girlfriend had to the Gin & Tonic I had were both wonderfully made. 10/10, will absolutely be suggesting this place to every couple we know as THE date night spot in San Diego.More infoSenecaPrice: Expensive• Italian• Downtown•4.7
- JJoiPortland / Oregon •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoI was with friends celebrating 2 birthdays -- our dinners and service were excellent, although the prices are somewhat expensive and everything is a la carte which can rapidly increase one's bill. However, it was a special event and well worth the splurge. I think our server was Jennifer or Jenny, and she was terrific as were the other wait staff. It was nice that my friends whose birthdays we were celebrating, were each able to select a complimentary dessert for their special day, vs. given a specific dessert for the celebration which is what many restaurants do.More infoGreystone Prime Steakhouse & SeafoodPrice: Expensive• American• Downtown•4.1
