Even though Post is a new name for most of us, it has been an important part of South Hamilton history since 1924. The historic building at 16 Bay Rd. was home to the South Hamilton Post Office, and a place for residents to send and pick up letters. In response to the Great Depression, and a drop in the postage rate (from three cents to 2 cents), the Postmaster added more opportunities for residents to pick up their mail. At Post, which at the time was known as “the brick block building”, letters were piled on a table, and a bell was rung to let residents know that they could come and retrieve their mail. Keeping with that tradition, guests of Post will have an opportunity to “Ring the Bell”, which signifies that they have bought a beer for our hard working kitchen and waitstaff. Whether you are coming in to dine with family and friends, grabbing a drink and an appetizer, or picking up takeout on the way home, Post is here for you – rain or shine.

Horseshoe Grill in North Reading has been family-owned since the 1920s when it was originally a supper club for members only. That changed in 1957 and, since then, patrons have come from all over to sample the famous ribs that have made Horseshoe Grill an institution. The relaxing atmosphere inside makes it the perfect place to get to work on a rack of ribs, lobster Rangoon, Thai chili calamari or nachos.     Great experience on Valentine's Day at the bar. We were promptly sat and enjoyed two Manhattans while pursuing the menu. We started with the burrata appetizer and arugula salad with warm bread and oil. We had two perfect dirty martinis with dinner. Veal Marsala with fresh pasta and eggplant parm with fresh pasta were both piping hot and delish. I brought home enough eggplant and pasta for another meal. We never felt rushed and service was friendly

    We were looking forward to a great experience on Valentine’s Day. Initially our table was in a back room not too impressive. The maitra d’ was fantastic (JT) and agreed to move us into the available main dining room. The staff was very friendly and helpful with suggestions and offers. The entire meal exceeded our expectations in every way. We ate here about 9 months ago and the atmosphere, service and food were excellent. We highly recommend Teresa’s Prime for any occasion.

    Pellana never disappoints! We came the first time for our after wedding dinner and now on our anniversary since then. Our server Carlyn was amazing and attentive and so was the rest of the staff, including the front staff and food runners. The food is absolutely wonderful and we have never had a bad meal here. Started with the bread basket which we devoured and I got the shrimp cocktail and hubs got the French onion soup, so tasty! I got the filet and hubs got the ribeye and both were cooked perfectly. We shared the baked potato and brussels sprouts. We had no room for dessert. We go for our anniversary dinner only but I would love to try lunch or their brunch which the menus also look amazing. Always excited to go to Pellana and sad when our dinner is done and time to leave lol.

    Had a lovely lunch with a friend in a delightful relaxed club like cozy setting. The menu was large and varied enough that we were able to dine on what we truly desired. The wait staff was very accommodating and allowed us all the time we required to decide and chat. I Highly recommend this warm library atmosphere for a casual dining encounter or a business lunch
