Best Lunch Restaurants in Tahoe City

Cora was perfectly attentive. I especially value when servers don’t just bust in while we are talking but also walk by and can tune into what we need, when we need it. Teresa the bartender was engaging, offered a creative twist on our beverage we didn’t end up preferring, and she handled it perfectly. The food was exceptional. Love the new menu. The food was not only DELICIOUS, it was also presented beautifully which also added an extra touch of class. Love the Sawyer and will keep coming back.

Food was excellent and the service was top tier. The waitress was very attentive and friendly, and seated us next to the fireplace when the patrons left. That was a nice touch because it was snowing, outside, so the fireplace made the ambience nice and cozy.

Truly a great experience. I was told that the Smoke Door restaurant was outstanding and nowadays that could mean on that given night they got it right. But to be truthful it was all and more than what I was expecting. Food was on point, service also. We did the ten course taster menu chose not to do the drink paring as we were driving 20 oz of alcohol is too much for me. I really liked the atmosphere for such a high end restaurant the service wasn’t stuffy and the staff were very friendly and explained the courses and answered all of our questions. Will definitely return.

We had a wonderful lunch with our friends. We all had the prime rib dip sandwich and is was delicious. The service was excellent too. Gar Woods is one of our favorite places.

We celebrated my birthday here. We came early as we like early dinners (yes we are older!), so we had great service! The bartender made us a drink even though technically the bar wasn’t quite open. Enjoyed our food, drinks and ambiance!
