On a busy Friday afternoon, we were seated promptly. Despite the crowds, staff were attentive, warm and welcoming. Noise level was not a problem and the pleasant atmosphere adds to the experience . We came here because the food is always good and there is a decent variety of dishes at reasonable prices . Good selection of wines, too. So much to choose from, but the shrimp and grits always hits the spot . While there are many good restaurants in the area, this one is always a safe bet.More infoSeasons 52 - Chestnut HillPrice: Expensive• American• Chestnut Hill•4.7

- MMarkGreater Boston •11 reviews4.0Dined on Jan 11, 2025The Boston Ale House was good. I went with a buddy and we sat at the bar. I had a cranberry margarita and my friend had a captain and diet and both drinks were good. For food, I got the tuna poke bowl which I really liked. My friend had the salmon and asked for it cooked medium rare but he felt it was over cooked. I’ve had the salmon before and didn’t specify the temperature and it was good with the “default” temperature. There was a football game on the many TVs, some huge, so it was a pretty lively crowd. Bartenders were good and friendly enough. It’s a big open space with large windows looking out at Center St. in West Roxbury. It’s a nice place. Overall a fun night and I would definitely recommend it.More infoThe Boston Ale HousePrice: Moderate• American• West Roxbury•4.3
