November 1999 was the month Chef Saipin and her husband Bill took over Lotus of Siam. Since then, Thai food became an adventure for those willing to step out of their comfort zones for Asian Cuisine. Chef Saipin’s distinct cooking has been passed down from generation to generation, from both her grandmothers and her husband’s grandmothers. Her northern style cooking has opened America into the “Northern” world of Thailand, away from the Bangkok style of sweet and tang. The northern menu consists of hearty herbs and spices, along with Thai style stews and coconut-less curries. Awesome dinner. Feel bad about giving 4 for service. Their bartender quit. So the Chef owner had to mix our 2 rounds of cocktails - keeping us waiting. The hostess and servers were wonderful. Food is exceptional. Salmon skin tacos are a must!

Egg rolls crispy and delicious. Sea bass w drunken noodles was superb, perfectly cooked fish, nice sauce that didn’t take away from the fish. The only discontent was the Larb the white breast meat of the chicken was just too dry for my palate. Finished off w mango sorbet, nice ending. Extensive wine list with some decent prices and other wines Parkerized in price.
