Best French Restaurants in Bluffton

Each and every time we go - food gets better and better. Service is great, extensive drink and dessert menu as well.

Charlie's has been consistently good since we started going there some years ago. We went there for our anniversary dinner last night and had a lovely evening. The staff and management were very helpful and the only reason I am not going with 5 stars all the way, is because the desert menu was like all desert menus these days: nothing hot except bread and butter pudding, maybe the creme brûlée. It's so hard these days to find a restaurant that actually makes deserts like Grand Marnier Soufflé's with a creme Anglaise, or crepes suzette or anything that involves any preparation at all and is not served with whipped cream out of a can. Besides that, my wife had very nice Swordfish and I had the breast of duck and we enjoyed them with an unusual Chenin Blanc called Love from the Loire coastal region. The orange mousse in a chocolate cup was as expected and we could have given it a miss.

Food was excellent and our Server Domanic was professional and very attentive which made an enjoyable evening.

We have been wanting to try this restaurant since it opened and finally did. My wife and I both had excellent meals and plan to return. We had everything from appetizers to dessert which we don’t normally do (ate the crème brulle there and took the chocolate mousse pie home for later 😊). The menu had a wide selection of seafood and meat options as well as a couple of vegetarian items.
