   This is our first time in San Antonio. Our dinner at Oates had been by far our best. The food is excellent and was served at a leisurely fine dining pace. Our waiter was Nick who could not have been better or more professional! He explained many dinner options and his recommendations were spot on!!

   Food quality was excellent, great taste and beautiful plating. Service was attentive. We sat outside by the riverwalk, one row back to avoid being too close to people walking back and forth.

   Lovely dining experience. Our waiter, Genaro, was friendly, knowledgeable, & very helpful & accommodating. Cocktails were excellent. Caesar salad was fresh & delicious. Shrimp Diablo very tasty. I'd definitely go back.

   From start to finish, Y'all were amazing!! Set a little Birthday brunch for my wife and and our first interaction started with a "Happy Birthday" and then a little song from our server Emily. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We are from San Antonio so were not visiting and hardly ever ever go downtown but, we will for sure be back!! I mean...come on....even had free valet. You all one us as patrons for life!! Till we see you again!!

   Lovely to eat on the river walk (definitely sit outside for the ambiance). Food was good (don’t miss the betard - delicious) and the service outstanding!

   dined there quite a few times and kept going back for great sangria's and bone marrow- unfortunately brunch had neither. Sangria's were completely different (bad)and we did not drink them, i ordered another drink and my husband stuck with water. Waitress came over multiple time and after bringing another drink did not ask if anything was wrong with sangrias since they were full on the table, so i told her myself that they were very bad but was completely ignored which was surprising at what seemed a higher end restaurant. When check came we saw that we were charged both sangrias $30 each/ so we paid the check and left with full sangrias still on the table.

   We ate outside at the Ostra on the SA Riverwalk for dinner on 4-12-25 starting with shrimp cocktail. I christened Nick as, “The best server on the Riverwalk”, because he gave us an extra basket of their delicious warm bread, and great advice how to order their filet with a little pink inside. I had eaten over done and under done steaks on the Riverwalk before. Nick with over 10 years experience, definitively said order it medium-well done- and was he right. It was a wonderful meal for my wife and I. Later, while we people watched with drinks and Lava cake, Nick came by with a fan for extra comfort.

    This is our go-to spot anytime we have guests from out of town or find ourselves downtown at breakfast time. The location is convenient and there’s quiet outdoor seating, crowd pleasing food at a good price, and reliable service. Valet can be validated at the restaurant.
