   Orange County Mining Company is a comfortable, upscale, family dining. It's a lovely place to sit in the bar area for an evening cocktail and appetizer. The theme is fun, and the views near the windows are fantastic. Great menu something for everyone. The prices are affordable.

   I took my husband there to celebrate his new job. He had been there once before but it was my first time. The ambiance was exactly what I had hoped for based on the pics and description. When we arrived, the valet attendants were genuinely nice and all had top notch customer service. Inside, a group of young female hosts were ready to greet us and immediately sat us at our table. We were able to choose which table to sit at, so we decided on a 2-top table that was closest to the railing which overlooked the city. Amazing view but some of the heat lamps were not working, so it was a bit colder than we would have liked. We just kept our jackets on and all was good. We decided to split the grilled artichoke for an appetizer, which came with some type of garlic aioli and melted butter, and we both enjoyed it. The entrees come with access to the soup and salad bar, so we took full advantage of that too. The salad bar has a great selection of items and dressings. There were 3 soups (French onion, chili, and clam chowder). My husband got the French onion, while I got the chili, and both were mildly warm. The saving grace was the basket of cheese bread that they brought to our table. AMAZING! For our entrees, we both ordered the Filet Mignon, which came with 2 toppings of our choice. I went with the bernaise and wrapped bacon, while my husband went with the sautéed mushrooms and blue cheese. Ultimately, his came with wrapped bacon instead of the blue cheese but he was totally fine with that. All in all, it was a great meal. The service was phenomenal; however, I will say that they really rush the experience by bringing the food out very close to each other. With limited space on the small table, it was a challenge to fit everything. Plus, we would have liked to savor the experience instead of feeling rushed through it.

   It’s always a great experience at the OC Mining Co! We’ve been going for over 15 years and the service/food is always excellent.

   Really fun place to go. Great to be on a hillside and into the fantasy gold mine theme. Well done. Food was terrific, the new salad / soup bar is a nice addition. Would definitely go back.

    Salmon was excellent! Moist, perfectly cooked, and generous sized filet! Best I’ve had in any restaurant I. Ages! The whole dish was wonderful with tasty sides, & an even bigger surprise was discovering their salad bar was included with our entree! (My personal fave was the French Onion soup ). And OMG - their garlic cheese bread! Buy an entrée and it can all be yours! I am definitely coming back sooner than later!!!
