   I wanted to try this restaurant out since I moved across the street. So for my birthday I made 8:45 reservations. Our table was set, the place was half full we were excited. We ordered the full course meal at $85 per person. We asked if we could exchange the duck for another protein. Have you ever left a restaurant with the taste of the food still in your mouth. The seaweed spaghettis strong taste lasted until the next morning. I left most of it on my plate. The pork with a yellow purée seemed undercooked and the tortellini was beautiful but chewy. There were other dishes that lacked luster and overall the fishy nature of the meal was lackluster. I think of the emperor’s new clothes. The vanilla ice cream with kiwi was really good, and the service wasn’t half bad. Hopefully they change the menu often because who make seaweed spaghetti. Pass on this place for the $300 dollar tab, and the not so great aftertaste.

   We haven’t been to Octavia in a few years, but we’re very happy to find that the food was still outstanding.

   We went for Valentine’s Day. They had a pre fixe menu with wine pairings. Food was excellent, as were the wine pairings. We sat outside because that was the only seating available at the time of the reservation. However the outdoor seating was warm and well insulated so it was very pleasant. The service was also great. Loved and would highly recommend!

   A wonderful post-Valentine’s day meal. The delicious menu choices were paired perfectly with a nice selection of wines. The staff was helpful and attentive. It was an outstanding evening and I will happily return.

   Everything about our experience at the restaurant was wonderful. My partner and I went with our 14 month old. The staff were accommodating, friendly, and attentive. They made sure we were well taken care of and comfortable. I also appreciated the communication leading up to the dinner about accommodations and food restrictions. The restaurant was specious, not too loud, and had nice lighting. The food was amazing!

   Tables next to entrance get unpleasant breeze. Main courses were underwhelming. Appetizers and first courses were great.

   Sat outside. It was warm and toasty, though noisy and sitting inches from everyone in the pod. Timing was a little off for food service. Food was fantastic but a bit pricey. $400 for party of 2, we did get a bottle of wine.

   We enjoyed an early valentines dinner around 7:45pm. We were worried about the temperature in the outside seating space but the experience was very pleasant. We felt cozy under heaters and was nice to be outside during the rain. For dinner we enjoyed the “Chef’s Choice” - a family style 4 course meal that included several shared dishes. Each dish was delicious! Would be hard to pick a favorite. We left 1000% satisfied with the food and overall experience. Would recommend anyone looking to explore a cool restaurant.

   It was our first time at Octavia. I had the mussels, the trout and the toffee cake - all pop which were delicious. My husband had the crudo (which was fresh but not somewhat tasteless), the duck (well cooked but could have benefitted from some accompanying vegetables) and the chocolate desert (dry and not particularly good). The atmosphere was cozy (though it was cold at times) but it was quite noisy and we had a hard time hearing one another. The service was excellent.
