As the first uptown New York location for legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, we opened with much anticipation in the summer of 2005.Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and Hollywood film producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature new style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Tiradito Nobu Style and Black Cod Miso. The restaurant received three stars from the New York Times.

    Wonderful as always. Every time my husband and I come to NY we have to make this stop. Food exquisite, on point no matter what you order. Highly recommend!!

    This was our first visit to NOBU in NYC. I was very pleasantly surprised by the cooked dishes. I regularly eat either ramen noodles or sushi / sashimi in a Japanese restaurant. The cod dish was exceptional! The beef dish was a close second. Dion, our waiter, was great. He walked us thru the menu and we took all of his suggestions. Very patient and caring. Definitely will go back soon to try more hot dishes.

    Nobu has never disappointed and this location was no different. Been to Nobu in both Vegas locations and in Atlantis and this location was excellent as well.

    Don't come early. I had a very early reservation (5:30) and when I arrived on time I was told that I'd have to wait in line behind 30 people. This is not MacDonalds!
