- JJenniferNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoReally wonderful service. Tommy, the maitre d’ was very kind accommodating our early arrival and slightly mixed up booking. I hadn’t paid attention to their prix fixe option and were too tight on time to enjoy that pre theatre, but we definitely want to return for the steak frites. I enjoyed trying their prize winning onion soup burger and my husband said the cod was fresh and delicious. Naturally the kir royales were perfect. Its decor is comfortably unpretentious and the place was packed- clearly full of in-the-know locals. Service was gracious and professional. A definite gem in that part of town.More infoLe RivagePrice: Expensive• French• Theater District•4.8

Everything at Bond 45 is very good - you can't go wrong. Service is always great. Nice ambience.More infoBond 45Price: Expensive• Italian• Theater District•4.4

We needed to make a 1:00 theater, and our waiter was very attentive , personable and accommodating. Menu selections are ample. Prices reasonable. I had the bransini white fish with leeks and roasted potatoes. Partner had the pasta trio. Becco house Caesar salad comes with is outstanding Everything was delicious. Will certainly recommend to our friends.More infoBeccoPrice: Expensive• Italian• Theater District•4.5
- PPatriciaNew York City •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoThere were 10 of us & we had made reservations at 5 pm as we had 7 pm theater tickets. Our table was ready for us upon arrival & our waiter was friendly & on point from start to finish. Service was great without feeling rushed & his wine suggestion was perfect. The portions are huge so we started with the calamari & Caesar salad which was plenty for all of us & both very good. We chose 4 dishes, Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Scaloppine, Rigatoni & Broccoli, & Penne alla Vodka & all were delicious. We all commnted that the Penne was the best we’d had as the sauce was not too heavy & perfectly spiced. Although we could have only ordered 3 dishes, we all enjoyed the variety of the 4 choices. We finished off with cappuccinos for the table & made it to the theater with 15 minutes to spare. We couldn’t have picked a better restaurant & the bonus was it was very reasonable. Great job Carmine’s!!More infoCarmine's - 44th Street - NYCPrice: Moderate• Italian• Theater District•4.6

Discover Hell's Kitchen
There’s a lot in a name, and this westerly mid-Manhattan neighborhood has a no-frills food scene worthy of its infamous moniker. While the handle stems from the area’s notorious activity in the 19th century, it’s a different story today as it has become one of the city’s LGBT hot spots—with an abundance of watering holes to keep the party going. When it comes to the food scene, dining is low- key and comparably affordable to the rest of Manhattan. From burgers to tacos, cookies to pizza, there are humble gems to be found. An area once known for its grit continues to grow, with surprisingly tasty results.
