- JJohnDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had the pleasure of dining at Ashten’s last night for our anniversary, and it was truly a memorable experience. We ordered the Crispy Maple Leaf Farms Duck and the 12-ounce Brasstown Beef NY Strip, and both dishes were nothing short of perfection. The duck was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, with a rich, flavorful sauce that tied the dish together beautifully. The NY Strip was cooked exactly to our liking — tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. Our waiter elevated the experience even further with his thoughtful recommendations, genuine enthusiasm, and impeccable attention to detail. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and service exceed expectations, but Ashten’s delivered on every level. Highly recommend this restaurant for any special occasion or even just a night out. We will definitely be returning for more!More infoAshten'sPrice: Expensive• Farm-to-table• Southern Pines•4.8
- MMarieRaleigh / Durham / Chapel Hill •3 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoAs always, the service that staff provide is above and beyond. I love to bring colleagues from abroad to experience this high quality, upscale spin on southern food. It really sets a high bar! Of course, we came in like a storm and too many people followed us from the office, and the staff (especially Olivia W) handled it with grace, kindness, and humor. The food is ALWAYS amazing. The presentation of the plates, the quality of ingredients, and the environment just make for an overall wonderful experience. Discover Fayetteville
North Carolina offers the best of both worlds with excellent Southern style barbecue and coastal fresh catches, and the city of Fayetteville is no exception. There are over 400 restaurants in Fayetteville, and about a third of them are barbecue spots. Unlike other southern states, the Carolinas favor a mustard-based barbecue sauce that locals call "Carolina Gold." This sauce is sweet and tangy, a favorite on pulled pork, ribs and even wings. Fayetteville also offers a variety of locally produced craft beers. In fact, you may have a hard time finding a restaurant that serves beers made outside of North Carolina. Fayetteville is also the home of Sandhills Farm, so many of the local restaurants serve salads and desserts made from locally sourced, farm-to-table ingredients.
