Price: Expensive•Indian•4.8(651)"At this refined, yet casual, Indian restaurant, the portions are large, the wine list is top-notch, and the ambience encourages sharing."
{Condé Nast Traveler's list of Toronto's 20 Best Restaurants}
"There’s lots of competition among the top-tier Indian restaurants in Toronto, and Pukka is at the top of that list. Punjabi curries, vindaloos, paneer, and butter chicken—all the comforting hits from the subcontinent can be found here. And while the food is uniformly excellent, it’s the wine list that’s the standout. Created by sommelier Peter Boyd, it’s a mix of thoughtfully considered bottles that pair well with whichever dish you order (ask the staff for recommendations)."

- PPhilippeVIPToronto / Ontario •85 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoOur second time here and obviously will not be our last because we will be heading back up to Saint Clair when the weather is a little warmer, olives, and focaccia, and the delicious broccoli to start followed by the plentiful and very tasty ravioli and a Primavera rigatoni and ending off with very dark chocolate gelato, Service is always exceptional and friendly however, this time I was very, very disappointed that I couldn’t hear the 70s music (wink), cheers More infoNODO - HillcrestPrice: Expensive• Italian• St. Clair West•4.7

- MMandyToronto / Ontario •3 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 1, 2025A Saturday night table of 3. The service was impeccable. The food was great. All of us in my party felt that the food was delicious but just missing that extra depth in flavour. The tables were too close together, in my opinion. Getting settled upon arrival and then when ready to leave was tricky as the chairs of the surrounding tables were too close. My drink, a mocktail, was scrumptious and looked beautiful.More infoCafe RomaPrice: Moderate• Italian• Wychwood•4.5
- LLucasToronto / Ontario •4 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 26, 2025A small restaurant, but do not hold that against it. Pure Vida was a pleasant surprise, with a menu that offers lovely flavours from Costa Rica. We can particularly recommend some of the appetizers such as the fries, the corn ribs, and the guac and chips. The plantain that came with the guac was amazing, and the fries had unique seasoning, that made them some of the best fries I've ever had. The mains were good too, I'd recommend going for some of the more unique and traditional dishes, as they'll have more interesting seasonings and flavours. Definitely planning to come again to explore more of the menu. My only complaint would be that it can be a bit too salty sometimes, but not so much that it becomes inedible. The service was mostly good. The servers were nice and helped us with any questions we had, and gave helpful advice. The food was prepared quickly, in fact, they can slow down a bit, our mains were served when we were still in the middle of our appetizers. This seems to require a bit more coordinating between kitchen and front of house. It made it feel rushed. The drinks took a lot longer, they came halfway through the mains. All issues that require some finetuning. All this may be because it was a busy evening. The atmosphere is very informal, with nice decorations and lots of green. It all felt very tropical. There was a loud group while we were eating, but that comes with the small space, I guess. I don't understand the number of huge screens with unrelated stock videos; they're distracting. I see this in other restaurants, and I never like it.More infoPura Vida RestaurantPrice: Moderate• Contemporary Latin• St. Clair West•4.9
