Discover Maple City
Northern Michigan and its Upper Peninsula have long established themselves as prime destinations for foodie connoisseurs of all stripes, and that trend seems to be only growing. You can get good ol' American back-woods cookin' at several well-loved restaurants in this little town of only 1,500. But the unexpected cuisine diversity you find here includes an authentic French cafe, an Italian trattoria, and a true pub that seems to have been imported unchanged from the British Isles. The latter gives you everything from fish and chips to Yorkshire pudding. There are also full-blooded American bars and grills and a vegetarian-friendly deli thrown into the mix.
