- AAnnWisconsin •6 reviews5.0Dined on Mar 1, 2025My filet mignon was outstanding, probably one of the best I've had at a restaurant. It was perfectly seasoned (not too salty), perfectly prepared and amazingly tender. Their early dining menu is an excellent value which includes soup or salad (lobster bisque was a delicious $3 upcharge), main entree and dessert (carrot cake is sooo good). The Chop Old Fashioned is also amazingly delicious. This is my favorite restaurant. Make reservations!More infoCHOPPrice: Expensive• Steakhouse• Sister Bay•4.6
- CCaseyChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined on Jan 4, 2025My family has been coming to Door County since I was a child and we have seen the progression of restaurants in Door County over the years. The Blue Bear/Della Porta in Ellison Bay is leading a new direction for Door County. Local farm to table food executed in a delicious and simple way is priceless. You can taste the love that goes into the food and service. Definitely going to return many more times.More infoBlue Bear Ellison BayPrice: Moderate• American• Ellison Bay•4.7

Discover Escanaba
Escanaba, in Michigan's Upper Peninsula, is a great place to enjoy some delicious local foods. The waterways and wildlife aren't the only attractions; locally owned restaurants, vineyards and breweries are a big draw. Sample the local award-winning microbrews or explore the region's finest vintages. Abundant delicacies pair well with your beverages.. The pasty, basically a portable beef stew, is a savory, flaky pie that dates back to its mining roots in Cornwall, England. Any dish with freshly caught fish is worth a try too. Other highlights are the jams, jellies, and preserves made from the berries grown nearby. The thimbleberry jam is unique to the area and is a perfect pairing with the hot fresh bread served alongside it in Escanaba cafes and bakeries.
