- AAMvipDenver / Colorado •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoEveryone was friendly and warm! More delicious food than we could eat! If you have a chance to celebrate a birthday here, just know that you will have a blast! Couldn’t have ended our stay on a brighter note than this charming, delightful restaurant! (And try the Bananas Foster, even if you don’t especially like bananas, the sauce even just on the vanilla ice cream, the story, it’s worth it even if you end up feeding most of the banana to your dining companion. ^_^) Six star service!More infoBrennan'sPrice: Expensive• Creole• French Quarter•4.8

- BBruceNew Orleans / Louisiana •46 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoWonderful experience, again! Took our visiting friend for lunch! Everything was superb! Started with the Frozen Cranberry Martini, move on to the baked oysters, split the best red fish almondaine ever and house salad with 2 great dressings! Oh forgot the puff potatoes, make sure you gobble them up when they come out warm! Had a minor mess up when the put sauce on top of seafood omelette, but corrected it immediately, and it was so light and fluffy and so full of crabmeat and shrimp! Couldn’t ask for a better experience dining at this iconic place! Back to being my go-to spot!More infoAntoine'sPrice: Expensive• Creole• French Quarter•4.6
- BBobNew York City •4 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis is perhaps the best restaurant I have ever eaten at. It is a high end place but the value for the quality is excellent. The food was outstanding from the warm biscuits to the fabulous lobster dumplings to the Pompano fish to the bread pudding dessert. All four of us raved about our meals. The servers were wonderful. The noise level was pretty high. One server did put the entre and the dessert in front if the wrong person but that's the only possible criticism I can offer. This was an amazing dining experience.More infoGW FinsPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• French Quarter•4.9
- TThomasvipNashville •33 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoFantastic experience at Luke on Dec 9. Our wait staff was amazing and knowledgeable. Really appreciate that so much of the menu was available gluten free and the knowledge of the staff. Trout was my favorite dish while in New Orleans over 4 days. Will go back and highly recommend. Only negative was the noise. It was very loud in there.More infoLukePrice: Moderate• French• Central Business District•4.6

12 stellar special-occasion restaurants in New Orleans
New Orleanians mark time by food seasons, not calendar flips. The hottest months belong to frozen daiquiris and technicolor snoballs. Spring brings families and friends together over spicy spreads of boiled crawfish. Carnival season is all about sweet and savory king cakes. In other words, in a city that puts food at the center of its life—and not just the center of the table—eating and drinking is always a special occasion. When it comes to celebrating a birthday, graduation, or just feeling alive in the Big Easy, the stage is set with buckets of seafood, cocktails in James Beard Award-winning bars, and grand dining rooms that have hosted generations of milestone events. Read on for a guide to the 12 best restaurants to book across New Orleans to get the party started.

4 Must-Book Restaurants in New Orleans
New Orleans’s restaurants are the beating heart of this festive city, and to say they’ve had a tough few years would be putting it mildly. The good news is that hospitality is calling again, and nobody does it better than the restaurateurs, chefs, servers, and bartenders that call the Big Easy home. Superior service continues to set New Orleans’s restaurant scene apart. Among the standouts, there’s a brand-new izakaya helmed by a meticulous executive chef who spent time in Japan and a Mid-City tapas bar that churns out a one-of-its-kind, afterhours brunch for the midnight munchies. Discover Gretna
The Big Easy is famous for its hospitality, party atmosphere and flavorful food. On the West Bank, the city of Gretna offers a more laid-back environment than its neighbor across the river. The town carries on the centuries-old tradition of seasoned cuisine with Creole gumbo, jambalaya, po-boys, muffulettas, and even king cake during Carnival season. Gretna's rich culture, however, extends far beyond the stereotypical French, Creole, and Cajun influences, with Italian and Caribbean-themed restaurants, lending their flavors to Gretna's melting pot as well. Since New Orleans is so close to the water, its seafood is a staple. Boiled crawfish and Gulf oysters on the half shell are regional must-haves. You can also order red beans and rice at many local restaurants, even if your visit doesn't fall on a Monday.
