- VVeronicaHawaii •1 review5.0Dined 1 day agoWe had an early 5pm Christmas Eve seating. The restaurant wasn't very crowded. The staff was very attentive. It's a lovely setting facing the ocean off of Kailua Bay, and we watched the sun set. The meals were delicious. I had the stuffed Ono with a lobster cream cheese sauce and Cajun spices. It was excellent! My husband had his usual fish and chips, also very good. We started with the chowder soup for my husband. I had a very large green salad with the house made thousand island dressing. Again, both were very good.More infoKona Inn RestaurantPrice: Moderate• American• Kailua-Kona•4.3

- NNancyVIPLondon •203 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe were a huge group and our servers could not have been more helpful and patient with us. They did a great job of getting the food and drinks out in a timely manner. Everyone had a good time. The two little kids in our group loved the noodles and chicken nuggets. I heard positive words about the fish tacos and fish and chips. I liked the spinach salad with grilled chicken.More infoPapa Kona Restaurant & BarPrice: Moderate• American• Kailua-Kona•4.6
- RRonOrange County •12 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoGreat food and excellent tropical drinks. Ate here 3 times during our 2 week stay in Kona and truly enjoyed each visit. The only thing I would pass on is the calamari (all tentacles). Different server each visit and all were friendly and attentive. Prices slightly high on drinks, but this IS Hawaii (much more reasonable if you go in the small bar during the 3-5 Happy Hour).More infoFish Hopper - Kailua-KonaPrice: Expensive• Seafood• Kailua-Kona•4.5
Discover Kailua-Kona
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, is known for its white sand beaches and beautiful weather. Most days of the year are sunny and dry because it is on the leeward side of the island. This dry, sunny weather is ideal for visiting the open bars that line the streets near the beaches. Kailua-Kona's signature Kona coffee is grown locally, and early risers will see that having a cup of joe is one of the most popular things to do early in the day. The Kailua-Kona area was originally a sleepy fishing village, and seafood continues to be the most popular type of cuisine. You'll also find opportunities to attend a traditional Hawaiian luau, featuring roasted pork, pineapple and plenty of alcohol. The local specialty, Mai-Tai, and handcrafted ales are also brewed right on the island.
