Dunmow Restaurants

I’m a massive fish fan so this restaurant is perfect ! There is also a meat section on the menu and partner had fillet steak which he said was fantastic. The food and service is excellent and we will definitely be returning to Smiths, really enjoyed it.

I took my partner for her birthday last night. I have eaten there before and it was good, so expected the same. Food was excellent, both had steaks, cooked perfectly to our liking , chips, excellent, accompanying veg dishes, also excellent. Deserts were equally good, and GF options availabe on many dishes. Good choice of wines, and the one lad who was working was also ecxellent, very polite and attentive, nice table on its own, had a very nice evening,thanks

Very busy , but service was prompt and food arrived with no issues . The extension where we were sat became full with two large groups. The noise level was horrendous to the point you could not hear anyone speaking. The area needs rugs or carpets as the noise echoing in the area makes it impossible to have a conversation. We had to move to have coffee . Not enjoyable at all .

Superb evening from start to finish. The restaurant looked clean tidy and welcoming. We were greeted and taken to our table. Some of our party were a little late but this wasn't a problem. The waitress came over when someone new arrived and asked for their drink choice.the food arrived and was piping hot. Delicious home made food. The price was a lot cheaper than I'd imagined. A huge thank you to our waitress Eve for answering all our questions on food and having a great sense of humour. I would definitely return. A get together was made all the more special. Thank you.
