National Anthem
Price: Moderate•American•4.8(66)Located in Dallas’ newly-minted East Quarter neighborhood,
National Anthem will feature a variety of riffs on classic new
American. The space yearns for food that touches vintage but with a modern approach. You can
expect elements of both coasts with a straight-forward Texas sensitivity, hopefully capturing the
vibes of a big-city, downtown dining room.
National Anthem is housed within the Magnolia Oil building located at the intersection of Commerce
Street, Jackson Street, and Cesar Chavez Boulevard. The building was originally built in 1920 by the
Magnolia Petroleum Company, later renamed Mobil Oil.
Fun Facts:
• The triangular architechture of the building is known as a “flatiron” design.
• The angles of the trianglular shape of Town Hearth and the Magnolia Oil Building are within 2
degrees of one another.
• From the rooftop patio, customers will have clean sight lines of Downtown, Uptown, Deep Ellum,
and the Farmer’s Market.Local

Doce Mesas - The Hill
Price: Moderate•Tex-Mex•4.6(13)We proudly opened our second Doce Mesas location in August 2022, situated on the Northeast corner of North Central Expressway and Walnut Hill Lane. This location was given a different approach and seats over 100 guest in our main dining area, and another 100 on our split-level patio with a generous outdoor stage.Komodo Dallas
Price: Very Expensive•Contemporary Asian•4.5(296)Located in the Deep Ellum neighborhood, Komodo Dallas features an ultra-contemporary exterior facade that gives way to an inviting indoor-outdoor flow. The restaurant takes visual cues from its homebase, including Komodo’s signature illuminated “bamboo” cutout columns and duck display windows. From there, pops of saturated color are added, such as with the lounge’s eye-catching wallpaper and a dramatic fabric-draped corridor. Komodo Dallas spans two stories and seats up to 274 diners across tabletop, booth and bar seats.
Komodo Dallas’ menu offers delicious takes on Southeast Asian dishes, all of which have been developed and interpreted with a global approach. The result is a unique dining experience, ranging from regularly rotating specials to house favorites such as Salmon Tacos, Miso Chilean Seabass Skewers, Peking Duck, and Daring Plant Based Kung Pao Chicken. A full sushi bar is also included, while bespoke custom cocktails deliver lively and exclusive beverage options.

- KKurtVIPHouston •10 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 22, 2025Starting off, the craft cocktails we amazing, and our server was able to make suggestions to change the type of alcohol in a drink since I don’t like bourbon. For appetizers we had Scarlet Bites and the Elote dip. The bites were crispy with enough sauce to add spice, but not drown them. Served with a Boursin Ranch that I didn’t need, but it was so good you need to try it. The elote dip was creamy with lots of flavor! I could eat it with a spoon, but the chips they serve with it adds to the goodness! I had the stuffed poblano and my wife had the short ribs. Everything was cooked perfectly with lots of flavor! My taste buds were overjoyed. I will be back.More infoScarletPrice: Moderate• Latin / Spanish• Deep Ellum•4.3

It’s no secret that the heart of Dallas is its restaurants.
