Nuevo Arenal Restaurants

Very nice food and excellent service. Restaurant is within a hotel that’s on the outskirts of La Fortuna, but it’s worth making the effort to seek it out!

Our server was attentive and super sweet. There was a one-man band that played songs ranging from the Rocky theme song to Depeche Mode-and it was awesome! The ambience was fantastically weird. Behind the music man was a pool and an abandoned hotel area that included a pool with putt-putt grass deck and a storage room fitting of Dexter season 3 (the John Lithgow season). We got the special which consisted of your choice of steak (ribeye or flank), grilled octopus, veggies and mashed potatoes. That presentation was kinda weird, with way too much octopus, but overall pretty good. I would recommend going here with a sense of humor and in the mood for a good time.

The service and food were top notch! Unfortunately there was a Christmas parade happening outside and due to the openness of the restaurant, it was impossible to have a conversation. This is not the restaurants fault but it did impact our experience
