Located in downtown Carlsbad is our Italian kitchen, Gregorio’s. Formerly known as Spirito’s, we have been serving up delicious Italian food for almost 25 years. It was originally created by an East Coast couple as a way to share their family recipes. From the beginning we have had loyal clientele that continue to dine with us today. In fact, it was from being loyal customers that we decided to purchase the restaurant. We have always considered it to be our “kitchen away from home”. In 2004, Gregorio’s replaced the name but kept the family recipes we loved so much as guests and have added more of our own. Plus a much more extensive wine list & full bar!     This is our favorite restaurant, and we’ve been many times. The outside setting is lovely. From the moment we were greeted at the front, each of the staff was welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious! The presentation was photograph worthy. The portions are just right, as when we were done, about 2 1/2 hours later, we were quite satiated. The attention to detail from our arrival until our departure is why Jeune et Jolie has earned a Michelin star. Lastly, in September, we ate at twice former #1 World’s Top Fifty Restaurants, El Cellar de Can Roca, in Barcelona, which is featured on Netflix’s Chef’s Table. We were given three desserts prepared by Jordi Roca, but the huckleberry violet ice cream dessert at Jeune et Jolie tops them all! Magnificent!

    It was so good the first night, we went back the second night for dinner. Isabella and Nestor were extremely hospitable and served as well. Do not miss the beet salad or the short ribs.
