I had eggs Benedict. Hollandaise was the best I had had in a long time. Unfortunately ambience was at times a little loud - had to really concentrate on what my table was saying.

My wife and I have only moved to Mackay just recently and we have failed to find a fine dining experience in Mackay until now. The food was exceptional and the service was just as impressive. We look forward to being regulars at this venue.

Birthday lunch for 4 - service was great barramundi was cooked to perfection.

Love Roots! Julie’s and Liz’s customer service was en pointe. They accommodated my request for a bench seat with ease, the food was delicious! She had the green goodness salad with sweet potato chips on the side. Her friend had the calamari, chips and salad. Both portions were a great size and we didn’t wait long for our food. When you know your supporting a family owned local cafe that partners with local businesses instead of large soulless corporations you come to Roots!

Friendly cheerful waitress and chef. Nice layout and food was well presented and delicious. The football was on the screen so the guys were happy. Prices were good for the quality and quantity received. The menu had good variety to choose from. Loved our evening.
