We enjoyed an excellent lunch of cottage pie and Doddington burger. Both dishes were accompanied by generous portions of kitchen garden vegetables/salad and were delicious. Glasses of Sangiovese were a very good match for the food. Too full to have a dessert, we opted for a coffee and mince pie. It is well worth reserving a table in the restaurant. Although there is inevitably some noise from the cafe below, this was not intrusive. Views of the lake and beyond to open countryside provide a very pleasant backdrop to any meal. Service was both friendly and efficient.

Food was exceptional. The staff were friendly and attentive. The homemade caramel vodka was amazing. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. OLÉ!!!

We visited Lawsons on Friday to celebrate my husbands birthday after many recommendations and were not disappointed. A good range of menu choices and excellent quality food. The service was fantastic and waiting staff were so good I can't single out one as they were all outstanding. I was expecting small portion sizes but I was wrong; they were generous and filling. Can't recommend Lawsons enough. A little gem in Lincoln. Thank you for a lovely lunch.

Delicious food and great Vegan with gluten-free options

We came on Wednesday 2nd October in the evening after a recommendation from someone in the village and had such a lovely experience. We both had the rump steak and were pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. The member of staff on shift was excellent so friendly and attentive. We had our newborn so eating out can be a bit stressful but were made to feel welcome and looked after. Great value for money we’ll be back soon.
