The small town of Willow Tree on the Liverpool Plains, is home to the Willow Tree Inn and their award-winning Graze Restaurant. The Willow Tree Inn is situated on the New England Highway, equidistant between Scone and Tamworth. The Willow Tree Inn was built in 1913 and purchased by Charles & Cheryl Hanna in 2009. The redevelopment of the hotel and restaurant began in June 2010 and was completed just five months later in November 2010, by a team of excellent local tradespeople. Since the doors opened, Graze Restaurant has provided a high-quality dining experience to locals and travellers from all over the country. Graze is best known for their locally grown, dry aged Black Angus beef. The cattle are born and raised on the pastures of Colly Creek, also in Willow Tree NSW. The beef is pasture fed and grain finished, then dry aged in our own dehumidified controlled room, before being cooked to perfection on our special Char Broiler and served on your plate.

A lovely setting, with mountain ranges, rolling paddocks and big sky. The restaurant itself clearly architecturally designed with not only "spirit of place" but best use of light and space. Plenty of tables but no feeling of diners being on top of each other. Service was friendly, polite, prompt, and efficient. Just the right balance of being attentive and not intrusive. Staff obviously know what they're doing and just get on with it calmly. Excellent range of dishes to choose from, with no cliché or boring choices for GF dining. Also, the presentation highlighted the textures & flavours of the ingredients without being pretentious. I can list our choices of "wagyu beef", "pan fried barramundi", "green beans & almonds", "cos salad", & "crispy potatoes". I can't really describe how the feta, dill, pickled radish, zucchini, hollandaise, etc each interacted subtly and perfectly. Not to be missed. First time I've ever actually liked hollandaise (served to the side, not drowning the barra). Many excellent wines to choose from, including Goonoo Goonoo Station's own sauvignon blanc. The dark choc & raspberry for dessert came with a special personal touch and the cappuccino was tops. Will have to come back another time for a cocktail...they looked great. ABSOLUTELY WORTH A FIVE HOUR ROUND TRIP TO EXPERIENCE!!!

My wife and I were passing through Tamworth on our 32nd wedding anniversary so we stopped for the night and booked a table for two. I mentioned on the booking we were celebrating our 32nd anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted by the the very friendly staff and shown our table where they had put a plate with hand written chocolate “Happy anniversary” with a complimentary Old Fashioned cocktail. The meal was brilliant, and the staff were fantastic and attentive. It was a pleasure to be there, thank you everyone.
