The Salthouse Tavern is a large, two-roomed, friendly local pub, in the heart of east Hull, close to the village of Sutton, Howdale Road, Salthouse Road and Gleneagle Park. From noon to 8 pm we serve a great menu. We show all major sporting events, including football and rugby league, on our six flat-screen TVs.We have a traditional bar, with two pool tables and several darts boards, as well as a jukebox.     Arrived slightly early, was greeted with a glass of wine each. Good selection of sides and people constantly walking around with a selection of meats and pineapple. Because it was Valentine's we also had a free dessert which was delicious. Staff were super friendly considering how busy it was at the time. Would highly recommend.

    Waiter didn't do his research on the menu offered but the food was emance venison cooked to perfection medium rare 👌 Desert was still a little frozen but can live with that Really enjoyable night will definitely recommend to friends and family and we will be back to enjoy this place again outstanding

    We are both retired now and fortunately have time go to Lucia in Beverley regularly and will happily give more than 5 stars for everything. On several occasions we have been fortunate to be served by Christina and we are so impressed by the service given. Always full of smiles and very polite, Christina is a lovely girl and definitely an asset to the company, (all your staff are excellent though)! The food is always excellent too therefore our thanks to your Chef(s) We always recommend you to our friends and look forward to booking via your app again very soon.     Whenever I go into Riva I always have Arrancini starter I absolutely love it I don’t like fish but there is plenty of other dishes I have tried lots of them
