Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca.     Friendly welcome at the door, taking care of our wet coats. Waitress (Izzy) was lovely, explaining the menu and looking after us really well the whole evening. Some disturbance from a nearby table, when 2 customers were taking videos with glaring phone lights, was quickly dealt with by the staff. Special presentation of dessert for my birthday, with a complimentary glass of port. A great evening. Thank you.

    This was our second visit to Fold and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Our waiter was a delight and quite funny. He paid attention to our likes and dislikes and the whole team ensured nothing went amiss. The food was excellent, we had slight issue with one course and this was remedied without having to be asked, sign of excellent service. The noise levels are quite loud probably due to the size of the place, low ceiling and the copious amounts of wine being drunk by clients! However this did not deter us from enjoying our evening and we will be back.

    Booked here for Sunday lunch. This is a nice traditional type of pub. We were sat at a table which was just big enough for the four of us. Food was ordered at the bar and then served to you at the table. Food was plentiful and good. Service was friendly. Would I go again - yes if I was nearby but wouldn’t make a special journey to go.
