    We celebrated our wedding anniversary at The Mount Vernon Inn. The filet mignon was done perfectly with delicious mashed potatoes and green beans. We shared a delectable piece of cherry pie for dessert. We frequent this restaurant as it is very close to our home. It is an amazing experience!

    The food was delicious! We visited for lunch but ordered dinner and appetizers because we wanted to try different dishes that we don't normally eat. The cornbread was the best we've ever had! I can't stop thinking about the delicious fried green tomatoes. I ordered the crab cakes. I've never had them before, but I think I don't like crab cakes. They tasted great, but Im just not a big fan of crab. I just wanted to try them. The mash potatoes and green beans tasted just like my grandma's. She's been gone for 20 years now, and this is the first time I've ever tasted anything like her cooking. It made me so happy! My husband ordered something that looked like a pot roast, I don't know the name of the dish, but again, the taste reminded me of Grandma's cooking! We were in DC, Maryland and Virginia for 5 days and this was the best meal we had. I didn't think a tourist attraction would have such great food. Oh, we also had the most delicious cherry pie that I've ever eaten. The highlight of the entire trip was eating here!

    We enjoyed a delicious brunch. Lots of options to choose from and clear indicators on the menu what was GF, nut-friendly and DF! The hoecakes were a fun treat. Lots to chose from!
