My mom and I went here for an early dinner. The service was fantastic, Ryan was so attentive and polite. Truly loved everything we had and our drinks were perfect! We will be back.

We generally love the food. Kind of let us down. Halibut overcooked and dry, striped bass awful taste and texture. Waiter was excellent. Finally not overcrowded

We were there in Christmas Eve expecting a christmas ambiance, and there wasn’t even a wreath! It was a normal night which was a disappointment. Also, my husbands steak was 75% fat, and he couldn’t even eat it. We usually like it there but last night was a disappointment.

My Petrale sole w/panko crust & lemon caper sauce was a definite winner as was our appetizer for the table, calamari!! I was surprised entrees did not come w/a vegetable and side of asparagus was excellent. We split the key lime parfait and it was perfect— berries were fresh & it wasn’t too rich—just enough. My portion of sole was huge so half of it came home w/me. All in all, it was realllllly good. It did get hot until air was turned to cool. I would have loved to stay longer but others were waiting for tables, so we adiosed. We loved our waiter also. He was so funny! A great Christmas Eve dinner!!

Great spot and fantastic service . It got a bit noisy and our reservation was moved to the bar because we were 10 mins late .

Diner beware! We arrived 45 mins early to grab drinks at the bar. The hostess was very rude when we entered and acted like our arrival had completely inconvenienced her. It was 5:30 and the restaurant was almost empty! Our dinner service was rushed and the hostess kept coming by with an iPad to update tables. This practice is very distracting and makes it difficult to enjoy your dining experience. Our food was average; waiter was fine. When we left, the same hostess gave us a curt, sarcastic BYE on the way out. She was unprofessional from start to finish--literally. We are lucky to live in a city with many fabulous restaurants and we will take our family and friends out to them, not Montlake Cut. We had a very sub-par, disappointing evening.

Cute and cozy restaurant, meal and service were excellent. Generous portion of crab with a perfectly prepared bistro steak frites plate. Wahoo was delicious and fresh. scallops were buttery. This is a hidden gem worth finding.
